ARABEC PINTOS
"Undeniably Arabian"
July 2009

Preparations are being made to send the October foaling mares on their holiday. Due to my previous pregnancy problems, the decison was made to send the girls away to foal down, and then they will return once their babies have arrived safely.

I'm going to miss them, and it will be sad not to be able to greet each new baby as it arrives, but they will be in very experienced and capable hands, and I have no doubt the girls will be treated like the princesses that they are. For this reason, no foals will be available for sale until they have arrived home.

After looking high and low for a new saddle mare, I have purchased a beautiful purebred filly instead. Not quite the age that I was hoping for, but she is something special, and I fell in love with her instantly. She will be arriving soon and I hope to have her shown in 2009. "Nicari Allira" is by the gorgeous stallion "Fairview Touch Of Magic" from the beautiful mare "Nicari Allure" who is by "Desperado".

The decision to geld "Bellamy Zorros Mark" aka "Zed" was a difficult one, however since his recent accident, I realised that he means more to me as a horse and a mate, rather than just a breeding stallion. "Zed" will be available at public stud this season for the last time and will be gelded early next year.

August 2009

After searching for years for the right part Arabian Appaloosa female, we are very excited to have finally found her. She will be arriving hopefully mid August. Loudly coloured and sure to stand out whether at home amongst the herd or out in the ring, we cannot wait to have her safely home. All going well she will be out and about in 2010.

*****************************************************************

Mares will be leaving August 16th and will be travelling with Equine Answers Horse Transport, so we are sure that their trip will be safe and smooth.

"Quintally Sapphire" will also be leaving on the 16th August. She is being sent away to be shown at Top Of The Range in October. It will be lovely to finally see her in the showring. Many thanks to SW Showteam for taking her under their wing. We are currently looking for an outside stallion to put her to to.

UPDATE: Sept 29th. Breakaway Nah-tasha foaled a beautiful bay colt, sired by Arinya Park Klass.

"Daisy May" has arrived safely - thank you to Equine Answers Horse Transport and she is even more beautiful than we expected. Huge thanks to her breeder Karen Carrigan, for producing such a lovely correctly conformed filly with big elevated movement and such a sweet people loving nature. We love her already.

Breeding season has come to a screeching halt at Arabec, as I have to go away for 7 weeks due to pregnancy related reasons, so breeding season for us will not begin until the end of October/early November 09. At least I will be closer to my broodies when they foal and will be able to greet the babies soon after their safe arrival. So far none of the mares are showing any signs of foaling early, and due to their recent transport in late pregnancy, I wouldn't be surprised if they are overdue.

*****************************************************************

All horses have been removed temporarily from sale, but if any of the yearling males are of interest, please let me know as some have registered their interest already for when they are available. Sale horses will be available again early 2010. Thank you for your patience.

3 fillies have been sent away to trainers and all going well, all will make their debut at the Top Of The Range in Toowoomba, QLD, October, 2009.

"Nicari Allira" is due to arrive next week and we cannot wait to meet her! Huge thanks to Carol and Richard Hay for entrusting such a beautiful girl to us.  Her page has been updated with recent photos.

The broodmares have arrived safely at their holiday home and are being treated like Princesses - in - Waiting. We really cannot thank Sally and John enough for their generosity in taking on 6 extra mares and looking after them with such devotion. It has been a huge relief to know that they are safe and sound and under such watchful and experienced eyes.
October, 2009

We say goodbye to "Arabec Desert Rose" affectionately known as "Cricket". She was a very special filly who touched everyone's hearts and she will be dearly missed. Our deepest condolences to her family, who truly went above and beyond to give her more love and happiness in 12 months, than most horses will ever have in their entire life.

Fly with the Angels Cricket.

On the 6th of October, "Arabec Fantasia" delivered a beautiful chestnut colt with blaze and 2 stockings "Arabec Rafik". Sired by LG, he is a lovely boy, and nearly everything we'd hoped for from this cross - just missing the patches!
*****************************************************************
On the 9th of October, "Tantangara Delta" decided to surprise everyone and foal early. She showed no signs and only had a half full udder and so was not wearing her alarm, so it was a huge shock when little "Arabec Aliyah" trotted up for breakfast with her dam!  Another Bay Tobero from "Delta" and first foal for "AJ", she's a gorgeous girl and will be retained.

On the 10th of October, a week overdue, "Zamib Sita" delivered a Chestnut Tobiano filly with 1 blue eye - "Arabec Enchantress". We are still waiting on more emailed photos of this little poppet to add to the website, but she has even more white than "Aliyah" above!
